Jade Alexander
Jade Alexander is a professional actor and has been performing ever since her first role as a snail in Phillip St Theatre. She has since branched into producing and writing with the creation of her own company Little Jade Productions Ltd. which currently has several projects in development.
She has starred in Doomsday (2015), The Missing Day (2010), Seraphim (Cannes 2009), Damaged Goods (Mardi Gras 2009) and also in the award winning short film Le Violoncelle which has screened in film festivals around the world including Montreal, Paris and London.
Theatre credits include Hell Hath No Fury by acclaimed writer Wayne Tunks (Newtown Theatre), her critically acclaimed portrayal of Lillian in the storytelling show Shadowmuse (Cleveland St Theatre), A Divine Plan (Glenn St Theatre), Mourning Becomes Electra (ACTT), and Lady Nijo in Top Girls (Theatreworks Melbourne).
In 2009 Jade played lead character Sadako in a professional tour of, Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes. Funded by Arts on Tour NSW, she performed over 120 shows, to audiences of up to 1000, touring to theatres along the east coast of Australia.
Since creating Little Jade Productions Jade has acted and produced several projects, including short films, A Perfect Soldier (2014) which premiered at the BFI as part of SCI-FI-London Film Festival 2014, Platinum Chisel (Cannes Film Festival 2010) and The Birds (2007). She also wrote, performed and produced a one-woman cabaret, Laughing Matters: A Cabaret for Cancer, and the well reviewed Ex Libris Macabre in conjunction with Theatre Delicatessen (2013).
She has studied and worked in Sydney, Los Angeles with Eric Morris, and is now currently residing in London. Jade plans to keep acting, producing, and telling amazing stories.
